The moisture content of sand used in dry mortar, screed, and adhesive production directly affects final product quality. İsnatec sand drying plants are designed to reduce moisture from 15‑20% in natural or washed sand to below 0.5%. Rotary drum dryers are ideal for high‑moisture, sticky sand; fluidized bed dryers are preferred for drier, more homogeneous material. Both systems can run on natural gas, LPG, biomass, or waste fuel.
The drying drum, the heart of the process, is lined with wear‑resistant steel and internal lifting flights. Material rotates inside the drum, contacting a hot air stream that evaporates moisture. İsnatec’s advanced control system continuously measures outlet sand moisture and automatically adjusts drum speed and fuel feed, saving fuel and preventing over‑ or under‑drying. A heat recovery unit uses waste heat from exhaust gases to pre‑heat the incoming sand.
Dust control is both an environmental and operational necessity. İsnatec uses cyclone pre‑filters and high‑efficiency bag filters at the inlet and outlet of the drying line. Fine dust collected can be returned to the main product or stored separately. All conveyors, elevators, and bunkers are sealed with dust‑tight covers. Noise levels are kept below 75 dB(A) with sound insulation and anti‑vibration pads.
İsnatec sand drying plants are available in stationary or mobile configurations. Mobile units are economical for temporary projects or seasonal production. Capacities range from 5 t/h to 150 t/h. Dried sand is transferred directly to production or to silos. İsnatec’s solution enables construction chemicals producers to control raw material quality, reduce energy costs, and achieve high production capacity.
